The 1740 House offers the comforts of a first-class hotel with the ambiance of a small country inn.

The Main House is centered on the original living room with wood burning stone fireplace, a lovely place for lounging with a book on a cold winter’s day.

Adjacent to the living area is our dining room which overlooks the Delaware River as you enjoy your morning breakfast  or, weather permitting, have breakfast on our patio under the awning overlooking poolside.  Country Breakfast is included with your room rate on weekends, with Continental Breakfast offered on weekdays.

Guestrooms have either a Balcony or Terrace with views of the tranquil Delaware River and Canal, Private Baths, Televisions, Telephones, Terry Cloth Robes, and Heat/Air Conditioning.

Swimming Pool & Patio

Our Patio and Pool area is not surpassed by any other facility along the river. Sitting poolside enjoy the sun, take a dip in the pool, sip a cool drink and watch the river roll by, or hunker down in our own Buck’s Tavern for a refreshing libation.

Miscellaneous Amenities

The Main House and Rooms 4 & 6 are served by free Wi-Fi Internet service. Many other rooms have wired Internet service. If high-speed Internet access is a priority for you, just let us know and we will try to accommodate you.

Complimentary mountain bikes are also available for riding the tow path or the bike trails at Bulls Island.
